The grinding wheel must be carefully inspected and identified before installation. The inspection and identification process is:

1. Check whether the grade of the grinding wheel is correct and whether it conforms to the characteristics, shape and specifications of the grinding wheel used.

2. Check and identify the appearance and structure of the grinding wheel. Use your eyes to check whether the appearance of the grinding wheel is damaged (or cracked). Grinding wheels with damaged appearance (or cracks) cannot be used. Another thing to check is whether both sides of the grinding wheel are flat and there should be no obvious tilt.

3. Check and identify internal cracks in the grinding wheel. Hold the grinding wheel with your hand and hit the grinding wheel with a mallet to listen for the sound. The grinding wheel without cracks will make a crisp sound, and the grinding wheel with cracks will make a hoarse sound. If there are cracks, it cannot be used.
